Q: how did becoming an author change your life?

A: i mean, [j.d.] salinger and i were talking last week, and we were saying that it's just so cool to be authors. we were at a secret club in the sewers of new york city. we were laughing and chilling and showing each other our library of congress isbn numbers. he had put his on his license plate.
