yep, we're visiting grandma way far away. she'll be happy to see us, but when we leave, she will ask her wonderful live-in caretaker, "who were those women? they were nice."

even though grandma way far away's pretty senile, she's happy. an amazingly strong woman. she's survived two children and three husbands! she was a migrant worker for decades. i hardly ever saw her sit down during my whole childhood. she was always up cooking or washing dishes or gardening or canning. what history. what suffering. what strength! not to mention a goddess of a grandma! she could give the other grandmas lessons!
