winks of the day:

i saw the julia roberts/brad pitt movie the mexican this weekend and liked it! i was a bit surprised since the ads really didn't give much of a feel of what the movie was about...which usually spells trouble. i went to see it anyway just because i wanted to see julia grin and to see brad grin. they are both so charming, in my opinion. it was actually a decent tale, with some fresh moments and hearty chuckles. brad plays such a great dork! i'm really impressed with that boy's acting chops. he kicked ass in fight club and snatch* (another funny crime movie, like the mexican.) he may have left diaryland, but he's lighting up the silver screen quite well.

*speaking of snatch, benecio del toro is movie oro!

i'm just now listening to sinead o'connor's latest release after buying it months ago. it's call "faith and courage" and is quite good. she's a bit mellower, but in a fine wine kinda way.
